The Pool - duh

K, S and G

     Not a travel day in the cartour sense. In Santa Barbara at K and G's on Cota Street where living is easy. G to work early on Oprah Bob's house although he says he is gon'a quit. K, S and I are told to come to the work site at 3:45. We take Molly and go up Cold Spring Canyon Trail. Weather warm partially overcast. Molly in good spirits and tractable only snapping at mid-sized poodle. Relax and go to big house at 3:45. Run into last of departing workers who had to backup to let us pass on narrow million dollar driveway. Much has been accomplished on the mansion since our last visit although openings have just been covered with tyvek and blue plastic tarps in advance of rain tomorrow dooming good views in or out. Scaffolding up for stucco application also. Pool is nice as is view of the south coast of the state of California. Huge Mitsubishi heat exchanger units, beautiful fir panels for ceilings, stunning sand and lime stone work, some ripe oranges, very sweet. G giving technical tour looking like ageable skateboarder. All home for beer or tea and off on foot to Agave down the hill on Milpas Street for pescado themed Mexican cuisine. Great salsas - roasted tomato and serrano version the best.
